Focus on Economic Inequality: Panel Discussion & Awards

Panel Discussion, Awards Ceremony & Second Friday Reception

The Noyes Arts Garage will hold a panel discussion in conjunction with the exhibition Focus on Economic Inequality: A Juried Community Exhibition on October 14 at 4:00pm.

Panelists include: Wendel White, Distinguished Professor of Art, Stockton University; Christina Jackson, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Stockton University; Joyce Hagen, Executive Director of the Atlantic City Arts Foundation;  Michael D'Aquilante, Activist-in-Residence, Stockton University; and Larry McKim, a New Jersey artist and teacher, who has shown nationally in over 30 group and 10 solo exhibitions.

Stockton joined a national initiative that engages college and university campuses and communities across the country in discussing, debating, and exploring the complex causes and consequences of economic inequality. The three year initiative was launched by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities in September 2014, and reflects the burgeoning national discourse and research on economic inequality that has emerged since the onset of the Great Recession and financial crisis.
